Deborah Caperton graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a major in jewelry and light metals as well as a minor in sculpture. Soon after, she moved to Northern California where she continues to make art and jewelry.
Currently, Deborah lives in San Francisco with her husband, 2 daughters and dog. She established deborah caperton jewelry in 1997, making custom jewelry and limited production collections. We enjoy the support and collaboration of many skilled artisans who help with engraving, stone setting, mold making and casting.
A life long nature enthusiast, Deborah looks to nature for inspiration as well as solace and fun.
She has also taught jewelry and metalsmithing classes at San Francisco State University, The Academy of Art University and The Richmond Art Center. Deb co-founded Spark Ceramics in 2015, a community based ceramics education program.
Art projects include assemblages, home decor and installation sculpture. Her narrative, mixed media series entitled, Lost & Found has been ongoing since 1999.
